Kate Denning

Principal Lawyer

Kate is Denning Insurance Law’s founder and our Principal Lawyer. Brisbane born and bred, she has spent over two decades working in the areas of insurance and personal injuries law and has helped successfully resolve thousands of cases.

While Kate is highly qualified at helping businesses defend claims against them, challenging insurer’s decisions and working with injured people in personal injuries claims, her biggest asset is her ability to strategically tailor her legal approach to the matter at hand. Her clients love to work with her because she is about the person and the people. She delivers high-value, specialised legal services, expertly manages high-stakes matters, and does it all with a hands-on approach that is personalised to you.

When she’s not settling claims with expert dispute resolution, Kate loves to take long walks with her cavoodle (and her three kids if she can get them) and watching true crime documentaries. You can also read her articles discussing the intricacies and developments in insurance and personal injury law on our blog.

Anne-Maree Ryan

Paralegal

Anne-Maree is Denning Insurance Law’s personable and incredibly experienced paralegal. In fact, Anne-Maree has had over 20 years in the legal and insurance industries, supporting lawyers in their client-focused work.

Her work has centred around helping parties manage matters relating to accidents, injuries and insurance, including dealing with medical experts, witnesses and regulatory bodies.

Anne-Maree worked at a large firm for many years before coming to Denning, and it was the draw of the smaller firm, and the chance to have more personal interactions with clients, that brought her to us. We feel extremely lucky to have Anne-Maree on board who is not only incredibly talented, but a great support for our clients as well. As a foodie who loves eating out with her husband and two daughters, we can also always count on Anne-Maree for tips on where to get a delicious meal at a local restaurant or club.
